    How to Use WhatsApp Web

    WhatsApp Web is an unofficial way to connect WhatsApp to business systems.
    Its operation depends on WhatsApp rules and algorithms.

    Before Connecting

    — use the official WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business application;
    — do not use unofficial WhatsApp versions, emulators, or virtual devices;
    — after registering a new account, wait at least 24 hours before connecting it to ChatApp or another linked device;
    — complete your profile: enter a name, add a profile picture, and add several contacts;
    — before actively using a new or recently unblocked number, warm it up.

    Mobile Application and Linked Devices

    Linked devices are devices and services connected to your WhatsApp account in addition to your primary phone. In ChatApp, your WhatsApp account is also connected as a linked device.

    — open WhatsApp on your primary phone at least once every 14 days;
    — make sure the primary phone periodically connects to the internet;
    — use the latest version of WhatsApp;
    — remove linked devices that you no longer use;
    — keep in mind that previously connected devices may be disconnected after reinstalling WhatsApp or transferring the account to another phone;
    — do not connect your account to suspicious applications or services;
    — if linked devices are frequently disconnected, reduce account activity and review the nature of the messages being sent.

    Working with Customers

    The safest scenario is when the customer messages you first and saves your number in their contacts.

    — send messages mainly to users who have already communicated with you;
    — obtain the customer’s consent for further communication;
    — do not use cold contact lists without users’ consent;
    — do not add a large number of new contacts within a short period;
    — do not frequently create new groups or add users to groups in bulk;
    — maintain active conversations and aim to receive replies from at least 50% of recipients.

    Message Content

    — address customers by name and personalize messages;
    — do not send identical text to a large number of users, as this may be considered suspicious;
    — start the conversation with a question to encourage the customer to respond;
    — use natural wording similar to regular personal communication;
    — instead of one long message, you may send several shorter messages, but avoid spam and flooding;
    — use different types of content: text, images, documents, and voice messages;
    — do not send goods, services, or other content prohibited by WhatsApp rules and Commerce Policy.

    ⚠️ WhatsApp makes the decision to restrict or block an account. Following these recommendations reduces the risk but does not guarantee that restrictions will not occur.

    Temporary WhatsApp Account Restriction (Yellow Card)

    The Yellow Card status means that WhatsApp has temporarily restricted your account due to suspicious activity.

    While the restriction is active, the following features may be unavailable:
    • starting new conversations;
    • sending messages to new contacts;
    • calling new contacts;
    • creating new groups;
    • using linked devices, including ChatApp, WhatsApp Web, and the desktop application.

    Linked devices are devices and services connected to your WhatsApp account in addition to your primary phone. ChatApp is also connected as a linked device.

    On your primary phone, you can usually continue communicating with users and groups with whom you have previously exchanged messages.

    ❗️Only WhatsApp imposes and removes the restriction. ChatApp cannot affect its duration.

    To reduce the likelihood of repeated restrictions, we recommend:
    • temporarily avoiding new conversations with users who have not saved your number in their contacts;
    • temporarily stopping mass messaging;
    • adding new contacts through your phone’s contact list and waiting for them to synchronize with WhatsApp;
    • until the restriction is lifted, using the account mainly to communicate with existing contacts.

    If WhatsApp specifies the duration of the restriction, wait until it expires. The restriction will be removed automatically. Repeated violations may lead to stricter and longer restrictions.

    Temporary Restriction on Sending Messages in WhatsApp

    A temporary restriction occurs when WhatsApp detects suspicious activity on an account and begins limiting message delivery. This means that some or all outgoing messages may not reach recipients. The severity may vary from partial message delivery failures to a complete temporary block on sending messages from the account.

    How the Restriction May Appear

    — messages may not be delivered or may arrive with a delay;
    — delivery may be partially or completely restricted;
    — repeated attempts to send messages to the same numbers may fail;
    — messaging new contacts may be unavailable;
    — linked devices may be temporarily disconnected.

    The restriction is usually removed automatically after the specified period expires.

    ⚠️ Repeated restrictions may become stricter and last longer.

    Reasons for a Temporary WhatsApp Account Restriction

    — sending messages to new contacts with whom there has been no previous conversation;
    — user complaints about your messages or WhatsApp account;
    — signs of mass messaging or spam activity;
    — suspected automated behavior or bot activity;
    — use of unofficial methods to work with WhatsApp, including emulators and automation;
    — when attempting to resend a message from the mobile WhatsApp application to the same numbers where delivery previously failed, an exclamation mark or a single check mark may appear. Learn more.

    How to Restore Operation

    — stop mass messaging for several days;
    — allow the account a “rest period”;
    — restart the channel in the ChatApp account: Line settings → WhatsApp → Restart;
    — if necessary, switch the WhatsApp application type on the smartphone from WhatsApp Business to regular WhatsApp or vice versa;
    — contact WhatsApp Support through the application: Settings → Help → Contact Us;
    — in some cases, using a different WhatsApp account may be easier.

    How to Avoid Repeated Restrictions

    — do not send mass messages to cold contacts;
    — avoid identical or template-like messages;
    — increase account activity gradually;
    — communicate in the format of regular conversations rather than mass messaging.

    What to Do at the First Signs of a WhatsApp Restriction

    The following signs may indicate a possible restriction:

    — messages are sent with a noticeable delay;
    — some messages are not delivered;
    — new conversations cannot be started;
    — groups cannot be created or participants cannot be added;
    — linked devices are unexpectedly disconnected;
    — messages stop synchronizing between the phone and linked devices;
    — a new device cannot be connected;
    — status publishing, calls, or other features are restricted;
    — a Yellow Card or temporary restriction notification appears.

    We recommend:

    — immediately stop mass messaging;
    — reduce the number of outgoing messages;
    — do not start new conversations;
    — temporarily disconnect linked devices for 24–48 hours;
    — for 2–3 days, use the account only for regular communication with existing contacts;
    — mainly reply to incoming messages;
    — increase the number of conversations initiated by customers;
    — check whether messages were sent to users who were not interested in receiving them;
    — make sure there is no outgoing message queue on the line;
    — do not repeatedly send the same message to recipients when delivery fails.

    If WhatsApp specifies the restriction period, wait until it expires automatically. Repeated restrictions may become stricter and last longer.

    WhatsApp Message Sending Restriction

    Sometimes WhatsApp restricts message sending without fully blocking the account.

    In this situation:
    — messages may be sent with a delay;
    — some messages may not reach recipients;
    — messages may be placed in the outgoing queue;
    — sending messages to new contacts may be restricted.

    This is most commonly related to suspicious account activity.

    Recommended actions:
    — temporarily stop mass messaging;
    — reduce activity for several days;
    — message only existing customers;
    — restart WhatsApp in the ChatApp account.

    Messages Are Delayed, Not Delivered, or Stuck in the Queue

    This may indicate a temporary message-sending restriction imposed by WhatsApp.

    Other possible signs:
    — some messages do not reach recipients;
    — messages cannot be sent to new contacts;
    — repeated attempts to send messages to the same numbers fail;
    — an exclamation mark or a single check mark appears in the mobile WhatsApp application;
    — linked devices are suddenly disconnected;
    — messages stop synchronizing between the phone and linked devices;
    — a new linked device cannot be connected;
    — groups cannot be created or participants cannot be added;
    — status publishing, calls, or other features are restricted;
    — a temporary restriction or Yellow Card notification appears.

    What to Do:
    — immediately stop mass messaging;
    — reduce the number of outgoing messages;
    — do not start new conversations;
    — temporarily disconnect linked devices for 24–48 hours;
    — for 2–3 days, use the account only for regular communication with existing contacts;
    — mainly reply to incoming messages;
    — try to increase the number of conversations initiated by customers;
    — check whether messages were sent to users who were not interested in receiving them;
    — make sure there is no message queue on the line;
    — do not repeatedly send the same message to recipients when delivery fails;
    — restart the channel in ChatApp: Line settings → WhatsApp → Restart;
    — if necessary, switch the application type on your smartphone from WhatsApp Business to regular WhatsApp or vice versa.

    If WhatsApp specifies the restriction period, wait until it expires automatically. In some cases, using a different WhatsApp account may be easier.

    ⚠️ Repeated restrictions may become stricter and last longer.

    WhatsApp Frequently Disconnects Linked Devices

    WhatsApp may forcibly terminate sessions on linked devices when suspicious account activity is detected. Linked devices may also be disconnected after reinstalling WhatsApp or transferring the account to another phone.

    Recommended actions:
    — open WhatsApp on the primary phone at least once every 14 days;
    — make sure the primary phone periodically connects to the internet;
    — use the latest version of WhatsApp;
    — remove linked devices that you no longer use;
    — do not connect your account to suspicious applications or services;
    — if disconnections occur frequently, reduce account activity and review the nature of the messages being sent.

    WhatsApp Account Fully Blocked: How to Request a Review

    A full account block may be imposed for serious violations of WhatsApp rules.
    When an account is blocked, access to it is restricted and a block notification appears in the WhatsApp application.

    How to Request a Review:
    1. Open the official WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business application.
    2. Enter the blocked phone number.
    3. Click “Request a Review” or open the “Help / Support” section.
    4. Describe the situation and submit the request.
    5. Wait for a response from WhatsApp.

    ❗️Do not submit multiple requests in a row. After sending a request, wait for WhatsApp to respond.

    After the Account Is Unblocked:
    — do not connect the account to ChatApp immediately; start warming up the number again;
    — do not immediately begin mass messaging;
    — use the account especially carefully during the first 10 days;
    — increase activity gradually;
    — communicate mainly with existing contacts;
    — before connecting the account to ChatApp, make sure there is no message queue on the line by contacting Technical Support;
    — if the account is repeatedly blocked, consider using a different number.

    ⚠️ Only WhatsApp makes decisions regarding account blocks and unblocks. ChatApp cannot remove a block or influence the review process.

    WhatsApp Group Is Blocked and Unavailable

    If WhatsApp detects a violation of its rules in a group, the group may become completely unavailable. Participants will not be able to send messages, view the message history, or perform other actions.

    The group administrator may request a review of the block through WhatsApp Support.

    Why WhatsApp Restricted or Blocked the Account

    WhatsApp may restrict or block an account due to suspicious activity, rule violations, or user complaints.

    Mass and Suspicious Activity

    — sending a large number of messages within a short period;
    — a sudden increase in activity on a new or recently unblocked account;
    — mass sending of identical messages;
    — sending messages without pauses;
    — starting a broadcast or bot-based messaging immediately after connecting a linked device;
    — frequently creating groups and adding users in bulk;
    — actions that do not resemble normal WhatsApp usage.

    Working with Customer Contact Lists

    — messaging cold contacts;
    — sending messages without users’ consent;
    — a large number of new recipients with whom there has been no previous conversation;
    — sending messages to numbers that are not registered in WhatsApp;
    — a large number of outgoing messages without replies;
    — low recipient interest in the messages.

    User Complaints

    — complaints about messages or the account;
    — recipients blocking the phone number;
    — negative reactions to intrusive advertising.

    Automation

    — automated sending without natural pauses;
    — identical automated actions;
    — sequences of actions that cannot be performed manually in WhatsApp;
    — frequent automated number checks without subsequent communication;
    — clear signs that the account is being used as a bot.

    Violations of WhatsApp Rules

    — using unofficial WhatsApp applications, emulators, or virtual devices;
    — fraudulent or suspicious activity;
    — frequent suspicious account logins from different devices;
    — repeated violations after temporary restrictions.

    In the event of repeated or serious violations, WhatsApp may permanently prevent the number from being used in the messenger.

    New or Recently Unblocked Number: How to Warm It Up Properly

    New and recently unblocked accounts are the most vulnerable to restrictions. Warming up means gradually increasing activity so that the account usage resembles regular communication.

    Day 1

    — register the WhatsApp account;
    — complete the profile by entering a name and adding a profile picture;
    — do not connect the account to additional linked devices other than the primary application on the phone;
    — add several contacts and do not start mass messaging.

    Days 2–4

    — receive incoming messages from different contacts;
    — it is recommended to receive approximately one message every two hours;
    — use different message types: text, images, voice messages, and files;
    — do not increase activity abruptly.

    From Day 4

    — gradually begin replying to incoming messages;
    — mainly reply to users who have saved your number;
    — use natural messages with varied content;
    — avoid identical templates.

    Days 5–10

    — gradually increase the number of messages;
    — start with approximately 10–15 messages per day and gradually increase the volume;
    — mainly communicate with users who have already messaged you or saved your number;
    — do not start mass messaging or create sudden spikes in activity.

    After 10 days, the number becomes more resistant to restrictions. Additional stability develops after approximately 25–30 days if no suspicious activity is detected.

    ❗️After a block, repeated restriction, or transferring the account to another device, the account warm-up process must be started again.

    Planning to Start a WhatsApp Web Broadcast: What to Check

    WhatsApp monitors mass and automated activity. Failure to follow the recommendations may lead to delays, linked-device disconnections, temporary restrictions, or a full account block.

    Before Starting a Broadcast

    — warm up a new or recently unblocked number;
    — make sure there is no accumulated message queue on the line;
    — do not start a broadcast immediately after connecting or reauthorizing WhatsApp on the line;
    — mainly send messages to users with whom you have already communicated;
    — whenever possible, work with customers who have saved your number;
    — obtain users’ consent to receive messages;
    — do not use cold contact lists without recipients’ consent;
    — provide an option to unsubscribe, for example: “Reply STOP to unsubscribe from future messages.”

    First Message

    — address the customer by name to personalize the message;
    — start with a question so that the user replies and joins the conversation;
    — do not send completely identical text to everyone;
    — use variables in broadcasts to personalize messages.

    Sending Speed and Volume

    — send no more than one message per minute;
    — do not run a broadcast for more than eight hours per day;
    — do not run broadcasts for more than three consecutive days;
    — do not exceed approximately 200 new recipients per day on one account;
    — distribute large contact lists across several phone numbers;
    — vary the sending time;
    — do not send a large number of messages without pauses.

    ❗️An interval of less than 500 milliseconds between messages sent to different chats may be interpreted by WhatsApp as automated mass messaging.

    During the Broadcast

    — aim to receive replies from at least 50% of recipients;
    — stop the broadcast if messages begin to be delayed or are not delivered;
    — do not repeatedly send messages to users when delivery fails;
    — remove users who have unsubscribed from the contact list;
    — do not send messages to phone numbers that are not registered in WhatsApp;
    — do not create a large number of groups or add participants in bulk at the same time.

    After the Broadcast

    After the broadcast, take a break of up to 14 days. During this period, use the account normally and mainly reply to incoming messages.

    ⚠️ The specified volumes and intervals do not guarantee that restrictions will not occur. WhatsApp evaluates overall account activity, complaints, user replies, and message content.

    How to Use WhatsApp Web to Reduce the Risk of Restrictions

    WhatsApp Web is an unofficial way to connect WhatsApp to business systems. Its operation depends on WhatsApp rules and algorithms.

    Before Connecting

    — use the official WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business application;
    — do not use unofficial versions, emulators, or virtual devices;
    — after registering a new account, wait at least 24 hours before connecting it to ChatApp or another linked device;
    — complete your profile by entering a name, adding a profile picture, and adding several contacts;
    — warm up a new or recently unblocked number before using it actively.

    Working with Customers

    — it is safer when the customer messages you first and saves your number;
    — mainly send messages to users who have already communicated with you;
    — obtain the customer’s consent for further communication;
    — do not use cold contact lists without users’ consent;
    — do not add a large number of new contacts within a short period;
    — do not frequently create new groups or add participants in bulk;
    — maintain active conversations and aim to receive replies from at least 50% of recipients.

    Message Content

    — address customers by name and personalize messages;
    — do not send identical text to a large number of users;
    — start the conversation with a question;
    — use natural wording similar to regular personal communication;
    — you may send several short messages instead of one long message, but avoid spam and flooding;
    — use different types of content: text, images, documents, and voice messages;
    — do not send goods, services, or other content prohibited by WhatsApp rules and Commerce Policy.

    Connecting to Services and Devices

    — do not connect one account to several integrations or services at the same time;
    — remove linked devices that you no longer use;
    — do not connect a new or recently unblocked account to additional devices during the first 24 hours;
    — before connecting the account to a line, make sure there is no message queue on that line.

    ⚠️ WhatsApp makes the decision to restrict or block an account. Following these recommendations reduces the risk but does not guarantee that restrictions will not occur.

    WhatsApp Push Notifications Are Missing

    This is related to the “Online” setting in the channel settings. While this setting is enabled, ChatApp keeps the account permanently online. WhatsApp assumes that you are already using the application and therefore does not send push notifications to the mobile device.

    To Restore Push Notifications:
    1. In your ChatApp account, open the line with the connected WhatsApp channel.
    2. Click “Configure.”
    3. Set the “Online” option to “Off.”

    After disabling this option, push notifications will resume as usual.
